Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)

Hey there! I’m Monica Kasza, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, supervised by Sara Alexander, M.A., LPC-S.

My journey to becoming a mental health professional has been anything but ordinary. I grew up riding and showing horses and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, eventually earning my B.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University.

After graduation, I spent five years doing missionary work with FOCUS — The Fellowship of Catholic University Students — serving on college campuses in Kansas and Louisiana. During that time, I began to recognize a deep desire to accompany people through difficult seasons of life by offering a listening, encouraging presence and the hope that tomorrow could be better.

I later earned my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University, where I learned how to integrate Catholic-Christian theology into clinical practice. My counseling approach is relational and strengths-based, honoring each client’s story while working together to discover the next right steps toward healing and flourishing.

I work with individuals, couples, teenagers, parents, children, and families. One particular passion of mine is helping clients develop the courage and skills to set appropriate boundaries so they can experience greater peace in their lives.

Outside of counseling, my husband and I are blessed with an adorable little boy who keeps us on the go. I still ride horses, and in my spare time you may find me cooking or baking, reading for my Well-Read Mom book club, strength training, or taking a much-needed nap. Sleep is so important!

I look forward to meeting you and beginning a conversation about how I can best serve you.
